As a registered childminder, I aim to provide a childminding service that allows boys and girls to learn and develop in a safe, secure, home-based environment.  I am registered to care for 10 children under the age of 12.  I am insured to care for children up to the age of 12.  I will consider care of any child no matter what their range of needs.  I will assess the needs of the child and whether I can accommodate their needs, taking into consideration the needs of the children that I already care for.  I offer settling in period where parents are welcome to stay for a couple of hours and then the children can be left in my care, free of charge, to ensure that the children are comfortable within my setting.  I will offer a trial period. During that time if I feel that I cannot give the child the correct care, or the parents believe I cannot meet the needs of their child, the contract can cease.

I am registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales to care for up to 10 children, boys and girls, from birth to 12 years of age. No more than 6 of these children can be under 8. No more than 3 of these children can be under 5 and no more than 2 under 18 months. These ratios include any other children that are in my care, including my own children.

In my home lives, myself my husband Steve who has his own Joinery Business Cedar Joinery North Wales Ltd and our three children Tia (2005) Joshua (2007) and Amelia (2011). We have a family pet floppy the rabbit who spends all his time in the Garden and is very caring with children.

My service is available 8am-5pm Weekdays term time only, please ask about extra hours and school holidays. I can drop off and pick up at local schools and pre-schools.

Children will be taken to local parks, shops, ti a fi groups, play barns and the library on a regular basis, plus we will visit zoo, beach and farms and other exciting days out during the year.

I provide a range of activities including art and craft, storytelling, singing, musical instruments, role play and jigsaws.

My first language is English.  I will introduce children to the Welsh language as this will be used in schools.  If I have children in my care who speak another language, I will endeavour to learn a few key phrases which will also be introduced to all the children in my care.

I will be Visually assessing and monitoring every child’s development. I will keep records about individual children confidential, and retain them for a period of at least 3 years after the last date on which a child attended.
